The world of computer, viruses, printers, networking and internet. Make your computer run better and run faster

Do you plan to buy a new computer in the coming months? The immediate question in your mind then will be - should I purchase a Xp-capable PC now, and upgrade to Windows Vista? Or postpone my purchase and wait until January 2007 when Vista hits the retail market shelves ?

Buying Windows Vista loaded computer would make everything simpler. But as long as we know ol' Microsoft, we know that their promise of a January 2007 Vista launch is unlikely.

So, there you have it - don't wait for Vista, the come-so-late guy it is.

Vista requires a high end system for optimal performance. Just make sure that the new computer meets the Windows Vista Hardware requirements like have lots of RAM(read 1GB minimum, 2GB recommended), a separate graphics card with 256MB of RAM, the latest Pentium/Core2/AMD64/AMDX2/AM2 (preferrably 64 bit) and a huge hard-disk.

All hardware required for Vista is already available in the market. ATI's Mobility Radeon chipset and NVIDIA GeForce are Windows Vista Ready.

The entire x64 processors from Intel and AMD will be excellent processors for Windows Vista. The latest Intel Core 2 Duo processor for Laptops is perfect for Vista. The Intel 945G Express(and upwards) Chipset is Microsoft Windows Vista ready already.
